This article is for merchants who have NOT YET migrated their legacy post-purchase pages over to use Shopify's upgrade-safe app block compatible post-purchase pages.
When a customer has made a purchase on your store, they will be presented with a survey opt-in pop-up on the Thank You page. The pop-up will ask if Google can email you a one-minute survey after the transaction is complete:
If the customer has used a google email address, the pop-up will look slightly different:
If the customer selects YES, the pop-up message will confirm that the customer has agreed to participate before closing automatically after a few seconds:
If the customer selects NO, the pop-up window will close and no information will be sent through to the Google Customer Reviews program.
The above functionality will also be seen on the Order status page.
Please Note: Revisiting the Order Status Page
If a customer revisits the order status page, the Google Customer Reviews survey opt-in pop-up will appear again even if the customer has already selected YES or NO on a previous occasion. This is not something that we can control and the Google integration does not allow for us to track who has opted in or not.
