Please Note:
This article is for merchants who HAVE migrated their store to use Shopify's app block compatible post-purchase pages.
To enable the survey on your app block compatible post-purchase pages, you will need to add the easy Google Customer Reviews app block to your Thank You and Order Status pages via the Checkout Editor.
Adding the app block
Head to the Checkout Editor within your Shopify Store by navigating to Shopify Admin > Settings > Checkout and within the Configurations section, select the Customize button:
Start by selecting the Thank you page:
At the bottom of the left-hand pane of the Checkout Editor, select Add app block:
Select the easy Google Customer Reviews app block from the available app blocks:
The app block will be added to your Thank you page:
Click on the back arrow to return to the left-hand pane to the page editor:
You can re-order the apps as required by hovering over them and dragging and dropping:
Make sure that you save the page before repeating the steps above for your Order Status page.
Please Note:
The Enable google customer reviews survey code on your order status page after checkout checkbox at the top of our app settings page will be ignored if you are using Shopify's app block compatible post-purchase pages.
Troubleshooting
There are a number of reasons why the survey opt-in may not appear correctly on your store. For example:
- An incorrect Merchant ID has been entered into the app settings
- You have not signed-up to the Google Customer Reviews program
- Your store is not eligible for this program
- There is an error or conflict preventing the survey from appearing
- You have not specified the correct store URL in your Merchant Center
